MTN launched Embedded SIM (e-SIM). Unlike the Mini, Micro & Dano Sim, you don’t need to insert an E-SIM into your phone as it is already built into your smartphone device.
MTN claims this to be the next step in the evolution of Subscriber Identity Modules Card (SIM cards) as they have designs to deliver unprecedented freedom and flexibility.
At the moment, just three phone brands are eligible to use the e-SIM, and they are; Google Pixel 3, 3 XL, 4, 4XL, iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max & Samsung S20 series.

§ The e-SIM allow you to have more than one phone number associated with your smart device. They are particularly useful for people who want to manage personal and business lines.
§ It is built into your device, so this minimizes the possibility of losing or damaging your SIM.
§ You no longer have to deal with cutting SIM cards or finding adapters.
§ It is incredibly convenient for those frequent travelers, making it easier to switch between network operators.
HOW TO ACTIVATE AN MTN E-SIM
You will need to visit any MTN store located close to you, the MTN customer care agents will check your device for eligibility and walk you through the setup process. If you have issues with locating any MTN store near you. The eSIM trial will run for one year and is open on a first come first served basis to a limited number of subscribers who own compatible devices
