Design and Display
The Moto G 5G Plus comes in a premium body that looks attractive with the double punch hole in its display for two selfie cameras.
Furthermore giving it a unique design, unlike other phones that come with a large pill-shaped hole for their combo selfies camera.
The Moto G 5G Plus has a slim bezel with a slightly thicker chin. On the back panel of the phone is a squircle camera housing featuring the four cameras set-up.
You will also notice the long LED flash on the right side. Then the Motorola branded logo sitting in the middle but doesn’t double as the fingerprint scanner.
The fingerprint scanner has been shifted to the side buried under the power button. The smartphone is available in Surfing Blue with a beautiful diamond-patterned finish and it also packs water-repellent design.
Moto G 5G Plus has a screen size of 6.7-inch CinemaVision FHD+ with a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels, 21:9 ratio, and 409 PPI density. It carries support for the 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10.
Camera
There are four rear cameras of 48MP f/1.7 1.6µm primary shooter on the back. This is accompanied by a 5MP f/2.2 macro camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle lens, and a 2MP f/2.2 depth camera.
The combo shooter on the front is 16MP f/2.0 main camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera for wild selfies.
Some of the explicit camera features includes best shot, manual mode, sample color, live filter, night vision, portrait lighting, and Google Lens integration. It can also shoot 4K video quality as well.
Hardware and Software
The Moto G 5G Plus is powered by Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765 chipset based on 7nm process technology.
The device functions on an octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.3 GHz coupled with Adreno 620 GPU for graphics and it runs on the Android 10 operating system.
The inbuilt storage is 64GB paired with 4GB of RAM. There is also another model with a bigger 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. With an expandable card slot on the inside.
Battery and Network
The Moto G 5G Plus is a 5000 mAh battery that promises to last up to 2 days under normal usage.
The device has support for 20W TurboPower fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The 5G Motorola phone comes with Face unlock.
Other elegant features include audio jack found at the bottom, NFC for mobile payment, Bluetooth 5.1, dual SIM support, and a dedicated Google Assistant button.
Motorola Moto G 5G Plus Price and Availability
The Moto G 5G Plus will sell at a price of €349 for the 64GB version and €399 for the 128GB variant.
Hence in Nigeria, it will cost around 165,000 Naira, and in Ghana, it will sell for 2500 Ghs and 45,000 Ksh in Kenya. It’s now available for purchase in Europe and may go global.
